General information about Photographs For the best portrait I need a clear, crisp, close-up photograph. This can either be a print, or in electronic form. A true likeness is achieved through attention to detail. The more detail I can see within the photograph, the more detail can be achieved within the finished work. All photographs will be returned to you upon completion of the portrait unless you state othrwise.You can send pictures to me by post (my address can be found on the contact page) or email me high resolution images. If sending photos by post, please consider using Signed For delivery (please see postage and delivery section)
When I have received your photographs I will then contact you to let you know if the photograph is suitable.
When choosing a photograph of a scene or a building, it is preferable if photographic filters are not used as this will give an overall tint to the picture, which appears unrealistic It is useful to have a discussion by phone or e-mail about the photograph if that is possible in order that I might clearly identify your wishes Don't stand above your pet and look down to take the photograph as it elongates the picture and don't use a flash as this can distort the colour. If you are able, take the picture in natural light outside, However if this is not possible we can discuss the photograph you have available. A gift voucher for a future portrait commission can be very thoughtful ways of giving a gift because it allows the recipient choose the photograph they would like to use for commission. Gift vouchers can be customised to meet your needs. Please contact me by Email or Phone to make arrangements.Commissioning a painting or drawing Please contact me for information by Email or Phone about commissions.The cost of restoring an old photograph will depend on the amount of damage, but guideline prices start at £20 for a restored A4 print (plus a surcharge of up to £20 for severely damaged photos) I work mainly in the sizes A2 (420*597mm), A3 (297*420mm) and A4 (210*297mm) but these sizes can be altered to meet your needs, although the final size will depend on the amount of detail in the photograph. Prints Prints are produced by Giclee printing and are lightfast All work is sent out mounted but not framed Limited Edition prints are individually numbered and signed and are limited to 600 copies Commissions The prices quoted below are for original Head & Shoulder portraits of one person or animal. Prices may alter slightly for full body portraits, portraits including background, or portraits of more than one person or animal

This includes insurance and tracking of the item.
